Dear family, friends, acquaintances, and colleagues of Steven Hooten,
We would like to thank you for your continued patience and understanding in regards to the funeral details.
The funeral home has been paid in full and the viewing will be held on Saturday, February 2nd from 3pm-6pm at Sampson Funeral Service Inc. located at 2601 Pitkin Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11208.

Please note that video recordings and pictures are prohibited as per request by Steven’s immediate family in Suriname.

In addition, a funeral reception will be held on Friday, February 8th from 7pm-11pm at 145-00 Springfield Blvd, Springfield Gardens, NY 11413 (Please note that the reception will be held inside the gym of a middle school where soccer is played by the men of the Surinamese-American community every Friday and Sunday).

On behalf of myself, Maira Bul, Broderick Bakboord and Steven’s family we once again extend our sincerest gratitude towards your generosity, patience and understanding during this process.

We would not have been able to do this without your support (donations), encouraging and kind words.
